The Saddoris family has been in the textile business since 1936, when current President and CEO Mat Saddoris’ great uncle started the business by taking in laundry for the neighbors. Although they have gone through many name changes throughout the years, they are, and always have been,
home grown. Saddoris Companies, Inc. purchased United Linen of Tulsa in 1972, and has since been known as United Linen and Uniform Service.
Through the years, United Linen has stretched their geographic borders to service the greater Oklahoma City and Tulsa areas, along with Northwest Arkansas, Southwest Kansas – including Wichita – and they travel as far South as the Red River. In fact, 93% of their business is generated outside the Bartlesville area.
Saddoris offers his steadfast commitment to the city of Bartlesville in many ways. “We will always do what is right – not just for us – but for those who depend on us. Whether it’s a customer, the city, or charities, United will always give our absolute best,” he stated. The people, culture and integrity of United Linen’s employees are what sets them apart from the rest. Saddoris leads his team to the tune of “doing what is right and doing whatever it takes.”
When asked about the role Arvest has played in the development of his business, Saddoris says, “Arvest Bank has always – and I don’t use that term loosely – I mean always, at every turn, Arvest has been there ready to help.” He reflects on a time back in 2001 when they were looking at an acquisition of a business in the OKC area. At that time they were not banking with Arvest. When the funding fell through, Mat made a call to David Kedy and in four short hours they had a deal. Saddoris continued, “That single act is a huge part of United Linen’s success today. Thanks Arvest.”
